What is Warmi?

Warmi is  a new, natural menopause relief supplement.   Its history dates back to Peru more than 700 years ago.  Warmi means “woman” in the ancient language of the Incas.  The vegetable in Warmi was a food staple among Incan women.

The proprietary blend in Warmi consists of extracts from Lepidium meyenii, a root vegetable, and citrus fruit.   These extracts provide key nutrients including:

  • Glucosinates - chemicals found in cruciferous vegetables.  They are metabolized by the body into isothiocyanates, which are known for their appreciable biological effects.  Preliminary work suggests that glucosinates are inducers of cytoprotective enzymes and may promote a healthy cardiovascular system.
  • Beta sitosterol - a plant sterol, which research suggests may help maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Beta sitosterol has demonstrated immune modulating activity in some studies.   Pre-clinical reports suggest the sterol has a weak estrogenic effect which may benefit the reproductive system.
  • Hesperidin - a citrus flavonoid for cardiovascular and healthy inflammation support.  Some evidence shows that hesperidin also may help bone metabolism.

What are the benefits of Warmi?

Preliminary research suggests that Warmi benefits hot flashes, night sweats, mood, hormonal balance, cardiovascular and bone support, sexuality (including vaginal dryness and intercourse discomfort) and overall quality of life.  In a study of 122 women, several benefits were noted at just one month and improved with continued use over six months.  How Warmi works is still being studied.  Some researcher believe it has a weak estrogenic effect but with no cellular proliferation.  Physicians generally recommend estradiol hormone levels among postmenopausal women be increased to a minimum of 40 to 50 pg/mL to prevent bone loss (60 pg/mL or higher is considered optimal).  In the 122 patient trial, estradiol levels averaged 44.9 pg/mL after six months among Warmi users, within the generally recommended range.

Warmi’s lack of cellular proliferation is based on a pre-clinical cell line study involving MCF-7 cells which showed that Warmi behaved no differently than the control in the study.

Is Warmi suitable for those with food sensitivities?
It depends on the sensitivity but generally yes. Warmi contains no soy, gluten, wheat, milk, eggs, lactose or animal products.    It is 100% vegetarian and estrogen free.  Warmi ingredients are 85% organic in a vegetable capsule. Organic ingredients are not treated with persistent pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified organism, sewage sludge or irradiation.

What is the suggested use for Warmi?

Take one capsule at breakfast, lunch and dinner time. Significant clinical benefits have been noted in a month, improving over time.

What about the Side Effects?

Warmi is safe and well tolerated by women in clinical research. Two studies involving more than 50 women each, showed Warmi to be safe after 90 days of use, even at twice the recommended daily intake. No adverse side effects were reported in these two studies or an additional 122 patient research trial.   Only drowsiness and increased appetite was noted, by 10-15% of patients.
